New-and-Improved Chowhound
posted by Mighty Staff
If you've stayed away from Chowhound over the past few years it was probably for one of two reasons. 1) You're just not hardcore enough. 2) You just couldn't handle the crazy interface. Chowhound has been updated with a beautiful redesign. Here is a sampling of the great threads you might stumble on there:
- Green tea...who to order from next?
- What to do with pea tendrils:
- Healthy ways of seasoning/cooking brown rice:
- What to do with silken tofu:
- Hospital food - is anything being done?
- Farmer's Markets, rip off or worth it?

I've got to say I can't agree with you on this one. I think the new Chowhound looks like a bit of a car crash. The navigation is unduly complicated and the screen is very busy. Interesting though that they're making posters register. With any luck it will limit the ad nauseum posts along the lines of: "I'm visiting London/LA/NYC/SF, can anyone recommend a good restaurant?"
Although, if limits those sorts of posts are reduced, it raises question about what it's raison d'etre is going to be.
